Weather or Not Report
Sister Rosetta Stone, meteorologist extraordinaire, gives her forecast
Hello Kittens! Sister Stone here.
This time we are doing the weather or not report from the Convent of The Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence via a Zoom call.
The last time that Madge, Sister Very Confused and yours truly did the Weather or Not report we had just inducted two new sisters into the order, Sister Mary Hazclap and Sister Agnes Hascovid. And yes she did.
We had all gotten our two jabs and the booster too. Even with our policy of masking up for the last two years, there was a COVID outbreak at the convent. We all went into self isolation for three weeks. We have all recovered. What a nightmare. Sister Mary Elephant was so sick she could hardly peel a potato, let alone feed everyone. Great way to go on a diet. Thank the gawds for codeine cough syrup. Not only does it suppress the horrible coughing, but you feel pretty good too. Like Madge and I have said before, Kittens, be as safe as possible. The big C is so infectious!
A quick weather update from our North Campus in Bismarck, N.D. The last time we checked it was about 10 degrees below zero. BRRRRR! Enough said about that. The last time we checked, their old furnace was doing its job.
Not so here at the south campus. Not only having to deal with the COVID outbreak, but our furnace bit the dust. Only two years old! It turns out that the problem was the fan motor. It has now been replaced and seems to be working just fine. That was seven pretty cold days.
Here in Savannah, we are still having some really nice winter weather. Very little rain and lots of sunshine. Although we did get two days of cold weather. Went down to about 23 degrees. All of the potted plants at the convent garden bit the dust. So we will replant this coming spring. Savannah will be experiencing a warming trend. The days are getting longer. Soon all the trees and bushes will be green and blooming again. On top of it all, here comes Saint Patty’s Day. Spring is coming!
